Depends what you want!
I do think the JJRC looks better, it also has some extra cool touches.
But you still need to rip out its guts.
Although there are some new models on the scene which i am waiting for in the post, maybe they will prove to be better than what we have seen so far.
One of them is a MAN Kat1 truck, and 2 different Soviet Ural trucks

I'd like a period truck to go with my IDF M50 sherman. The JJ looks very similar to a 50's diamond T. Aesthetically it's the better one. However I'm going to be upgrading the electrics and drivetrain to a stronger one!!! The question is what's the likelihood of the JJ getting metal upgrades?
Do I get the wpl and get a spare JJ cab?

The jj diffs allow better steering. But you can also retrofit all to jj.
Metal upgrades will come, but i.dont thing the jj need them.
I would advise the jj

Thanks,
I'd like to use it as a tank transporter though so maybe it would need some drivetrain upgrades eventually

Hi chaps.
Just a thought the WPL 6x6 has locked diffs ie always has 6x6 drive as far as i am aware the JJC has differentials fitted which means if one wheel slip you loose drive on that axle and i think some users have found this to be an issue in use so they have to resort to trying to stop the diffs from slipping by using thick grease in the diff housings.
The WPL does not have this issue as all the diffs are locked.
May be worth a consideration if you intend to use a truck for pulling something heavy like a tank or using it off road.
Regards
Sub.

GAZ 66 Wheels, with or without centre hub. I have also just used some metal wire to make the wire for the Central Tyre Inflation System
These with a bit more cleaning and paint will transform the GAZ WPL trucks
Russian GAZ 66/34 wheels with and without central hub. Also include tyre inflation system. (Well not really) Next job paint, but these will look great on the WPL GAZ models by

Now just working on the M35 wheels and then the dually wheels. Going to start off with using the WPL tyres as i am making a 6 wheel rat rod and want the extra width tyres.
Still need to find some more suitable narrower tyres but still keeping it cheap.
Also i took the halftrack for a quick spin yesterday, well i said me! My son took the controls and off he went! Think it has found its new home possibly!

Yup, not expensive either. Was talking with the guy direct who has put it together and there are some other retro fits coming. THink it would look cool on a WPL B1 series truck?

The dimensions given for the Tank Kit are 20.7 X 13.5 X 9
The dimensions for the 4 wheeler cargo bed are 19.5 X 12 and the Dimensions for the 6 wheeler cargo bed are 20.9 X 12 which makes the Tank kit too long and too wide for the 4 wheeler and too wide for the 6 wheeler.
Anyone got any idea what the modifications for making it fit are ?
EDIT

I just looked at the truck with the Tank and realise the load bed has to be removed and replaced by the Fuel Tank,
Sorry.

Here is another truck i started printing for a future build.
GAZ 69 as downloaded from Thingverse, i am printing the whole thing and then will cut away where i can to fit a cloth top, also need to make the doors operational and then will also be constructing an aluminium chassis for it.
WPL strengthened running gear.
In order to fit the width of the WPL axles i think this is now ended up like a 1/13 ish scale. But it will look cool nonetheless.
Either going to run twin motors e.g. N30 or D20s or i will fit in a 2 speed transmission. Undecided at moment.
Printed as one piece, although i cut the bonnet off

I reckon i may actually put cloth over the hard PLD shell so that i can retain strength in the body as i think it will make a cool mid size military crawler
I have also been busy and printing loads of Air Filter assemblies for the WPL B16 models.
Still trying to sort out a few varying wheel designs aswell.
I have also seen there is a Youtube video from Tomleys garage which has a challenge of making the worlds fastest WPL truck. So you may see some hot rodded WPL trucks on this thread soon as i have accepted the challenge!
