That's awesome Will. I for one, am enjoying your posts.

As for my stuff, I have a bit of a conundrum. I was showing the pics of the tanker to some buddies of mine, and they tried to compliment me on my "weathering," I had to inform them that the tank came that way with the natural effect of being old. So, now I can't decide if I should paint it or not. What do you guys think?

The tank should remain as it is I feel. Maybe only paint the chassis. But I would be looking for pictures of a real one to get inspiration to add detail.
If it has survived as it is, I am always inclined to try and keep its originality. The logo is superb, be a shame to lose it

Got two new mods for you guys. Can you spot them?

Yup, dual tires. But if you look closely, you'll see there is no added width.

The glue I had on hand didn't dry as clear as I wanted (probably wouldnt have mattered if I could cut straighter), so I touched it up with a little sharpie. Once I get some dirt on them, it'll be hard to notice.

This was accomplished by cutting the tires and rims down, then gluing them back together.

I can't take all the credit though, as I got the idea from this guy:

Hi.
Great mods i have watched his videos before and am tempted to follow but was concearned about the tyres falling apart it will be nice to see how they bear up in use.
I take it you glued the 2 halves together with Cyano glue or did you use some other type .
I know rubber sticks together very well with cyano.
Great work.

I used Gorilla super glue. Seems to be working so far.

I also got the truck repainted since I added the B-16 parts, and I painted over the red on the trailer. Needs a bit of touching up by hand, but it looks good.

On another note, has anyone disassembled one of their JJ-RC truck axles yet? I haven't seen any online yet.

I’ve not taken one apart yet, but they do have an open diff not a solid one piece jobby.
I’ve ordered quite a few off GearBest, they’re dirt cheap & come with springs & wheels as per the picsImage

If they're that cheap, they probably don't have metal gears. I'm planning on upgrading to the 2 speed transmission with the bigger motor.

A word of advise for anyone wishing to strip a JJRC Q60 6wheeler down,
The screws holding the load bed and cab and the 2 fuel tanks are not all the same,
Their are 4 screws holding the load bed,
The two centre Load bed screws are flanged the fore and aft screws are not,
Their are 4 screws holding the fuel tanks,
These screws are also flanged,
There are six screws holding the cab,
The two front bumper screws, the two gearbox screws and two screws under the bonnet/hood in the battery tray,
Be careful removing the cab as the battery and headlight cables are still attached,
A wiggle of the battery cable will get it free from the battery tray but the headlight cable which is held in place on the underside of the PCB needs the single screw holding the PCB in place to be unscrewed BE CAREFUL,
Gently pull the JST Headlight plug from the PCB and the cab is free.

Hey, Sean, what vendor is that? I just got one of those trucks in the mail with a broken axle and that looks like the perfect solution.
