I’d almost offer to repaint it just to know the awful silver was gone !!
OP would do well to take up that offer
No kiddin. I'd take that offer in a heartbeat.
Yeah here you can also see the bad "dirt" weathering on the side fenders with yet more silver liberally applied everywhere.
Initially I used 90% isopropyl alcohol and rubbed most of the bad "dirt" off but I knew I was going to repaint it.
The issue with weathering the silver paint is that it's a thick gloss and normal weathering products like pigments don't stick well to gloss.

If you can paint the silver off I would happily pay you XD, I dislike it as well don't worry.

I will get the kids on holiday for a few days & think about how best to maybe do it.
I still need to get that switch fixed.
Are you fussed on the paintwork/ no need to have it matched to the original ?
There wont be payment involved mate, if I do it, its for fun & free.

As long as it looks better than what it did with that annoying silver it's ok.
Thank you so much again if you ever want money for it just tell me.

Well the big girl is repaired.
We now know that the barrel smoke system needs a Taigen board to run it properly which is an extra according to the supplier.
I haven’t repainted it as that’s a subjective thing which Mr Crusher might enjoy doing himself at some point.
The shattered switch in the Tx has been replaced & it starts as it should.
Tracks all adjusted & spot on.
Just touching up the broken jack Mount repair & we can send ‘er back South!!

I am looking at newer taigen boards specifically the v3 version and it still has the same issue of only have one smoker connecter, is there a addon to the board or do I need a new board?

There is a smoke and servo recoil board you can buy, rctank.de has them. Then you will need the gun smoke kit on top that I think, I believe the board is just that, the board only. So to get full functionality of the board you’d need a blower/air pump, heater, and micro servo.
The V3 isn’t really new, it’s been out for some time. Honestly because it’s a Tiger I I would go with a HL TK 7.0 (get the TK 7.1 if servo recoil or elevation are things that interest you) you’d just have to do a bit of wire crimping and cutting, no soldering. The speed control of the TK 7.0 is much much better compared to the V3.
What’s in it now? It should already have a V3 in it?
