Well at long last a major player has produced a Centurion
A genuine pity it was not Heng Long or Taigen but at least it is out there,
Now we have to see how much it will cost and Tamiya being like BMW who have a nasty habit of producing a base model with the sort of high value extra cost fittings that other makers include as standard.

That’s the Japanese market price - U.K. market won’t get the radio so a bit less.

Yesterday I spoke on the phone with Felix Schulze from Axel's Modellbaushop.
The price of the Centurion will be in the same range as the M1 => 910,-€
The earliest delivery date here in Germany will be around mid-January.
That stands and falls with the sea transport by container.

Thoroughly underwhelming for the price, it looks like a toy. The detail and finish doesn't look any better than a Heng Long or Taigen, and it's no doubt still running outdated Tamiya electronics. I can't imagine parting with over AU$1400 for a kit like that, my wife would kill me (and I'd deserve it).

Hopefully, there will be a static version between 300 and 400eu that can be used as a base kit.

It's got the new electrics like those in the Sheridan. The electrics in the type 10, Abrams and m551 can hardly be called outdated

I can't say I've seen or heard the Sheridan in action, it's not a vehicle that's ever interested me at all. Just going from the (admittedly poor quality) video earlier, the Centurion's sounds have that same weird synthetic quality Tamiya tanks have; I've always thought there's something a bit off about the pitch shifting they use to simulate motor speed. Doesn't hold up compared to aftermarket options like Elmod or Clark, which would be fine if they weren't charging what they are.
Maybe it's just me, but If I'm expected to part with a weeks' worth of pay for something like this it'd want to be something pretty spectacular... and this ain't it, chief.

I think you are right, but it will be more in line with the Abrams pricing.
