These sprockets from left to right.
Plastic Heng Long.
Two metal Mato that came with the T49 and T74 tracks.
And lastly a plastic Mato sprocket that's for a 7mm shaft.

I quite like the t49 track over the other t74 I think mr gunner but I feel I can only really use them on my desert tanks. Not sure why I just think they look right on a desert tank as a pose to the other tracks

Mr kazcor you are quite right and I am aware they where used across all fronts as were the others from some examples found during research but for me personally on the builds I have my desert Sherman’s have t49 and my European Sherman’s have the others.
Not sure what made me install tracks in this way but i decided I wanted my a2 to have different tracks to my firefly and then t49 seems to be the norm now for my desert tanks

So I think I am happy with how the tracks are. Now to turn my attention to the skirts.
I have 2 questions on this and learning from mistakes made on another build attempt I will fix them to the upper rather than the lower.
Question one. Do Aber still do the Sherman ones as I haven’t seen them in 1/16 for a while
Question Two. If I make my own would it be better to make in one strip or sections.
I may also get the wheels drilled out at some point if I can find a suitable drill bit

I made mine as one section using pvc angle strip and brass for the front of the rounded fender,

Looking great! fenders are attached to the upper hull?

Thank you, the fenders are attached to the lower hull but they are easily removed for track maintenance with 2 hidden screws each side which can be accessed when the upper hull is removed
Cheers, Lee.

Think I will attach to upper hull. I don’t have any brass sheets but I think some of the .75 plasticard for the curve and 2mm for the rest maybe 1mm should do it
Thank model builder
