Heng long truck
Re: Heng long truck
Asiatam has the tires for the Opel Blitz for 4 euros each without rims. I don't know if those would work for Allied vehicles or not.

Thank you max, I'm sure there will be a bit of interest in them if we could get hold of some

Yes I've seen the tyres on the asiatam site but they only show a side view so not sure of the tread pattern
they sell individual tyre and rim set's on there too but at 11.00 euros each a set of those would cost more than the truck itself lol
Cheers, Lee.

Death (bar) grip pattern tyres are fairly common through the 70's (they used 900r16's on the Land Rover 101's) so maybe Tamiya if they do anything in 16th scale?
Otherwise, would a 3d printed mould cope with molten rubber?

I did see some that were 3D printed at shapeways and they say it's from a flexible nylon, but they wanted $11 each for the tires without rims.

Re: Heng long truck
Looks like Tank-Modellbau and RCTank.de both do 1:16 wheels and tyres, and they look to be different to Asiatam's Opel Blitz ones. Might be more appropriate for what you've got in mind, Lee?

I wonder if its got enough muscle to form the running gear for the MRAP series of models???

If you can design the tyres and find someone on Printhub who has flexible filament, then any tyre design can be printed in rubber. There are filaments out there for all purposes nowadays. Wheels/hubs are fairly easy to do on a CAD system.

I bet its not proportional. Would have to put your own leccie in there. Have you built yours yet?
