Nice, keep them updates coming. Antennae tube should be on the right of the tank. Doesn't matter from where you look, the tank only has one right side . What are you going to use for your mallet? I just made one from Apocie sculpt filing it to shape took me longer than 2€ worth buying it from the store. But at least it looks closer to a stone age tool than the commercial piece.

I have a mallet with the set of tools I bought.
There was a long bar what I think was a crowbar or lever of some kind. I took it off and am kinda reluctant to replace it. What do you think?

Thats the Stone age mallet. When I wanna use it, I would have to reshape it a bit still.

I have bought a great deal of accessories over the last couple of months, but to be honest I am now looking at them and thinking I could have made a fair few from scratch. My next project I will do just that and only buy stuff as a last resort.
Mind you there is so much good stuff out there . . . .

Should you lie?! Honestly. The Parts for2€ or what ever currency are worth what ever they are, but they are still only Close . Mr. Ludwig is asking 10€ per tool for a reason.

Balsa wood is ideal for the jack block. Takes colour well, and can be easily textured with grain to make it stand out.

Now I have started on the deck, I had a bit of a problem with the Aber Cleaning rod holders. My eyesight and manual dexterity is not what it once was. I made them up, took off the piece that forms the radius grooves and filled the channel with Milliput then reformed the grooves with one of the rods, sorted! I will tickle them with a round file when set.
I left the end pieces in place as these are required to locate the top clamp.

The cleaning rods worked out well.

Also I am now putting together the wing nuts and clamps, using Aber 16105, following the recommendation of my good friend Mr Jarndice. Pin vice drilled them out 0.75mm and tapped M1. Here is the result screwed onto a piece of M1 threaded rod.
Caution though, if you do this they will slip down the bolts supplied in the kit. So when you use these drill only 0.7mm.
Gonna have some fun with these babies!

Nice and thx for rhe pictures . But, can you pleas explain the wing nut manufacturing process? ABER says u bend and then fold them over. So I didn't do them . Your process is folding first? Please give me more details.

Hi, "ABER" sell two types of Wing/Butterfly nuts,
16111 This Is the catalogue number that I think you are referring to and 16105 which is the catalogue number that Pete is talking about,
This number (16105) is a recent entry in "ABERs" catalogue,
