After I got this done... It is next on the list.
Everything I learned here, I can now apply to the JP paintjob. Motto will be "February ยด46"
I just have a Problem at the Moment. Need at least the skirt hangers before starting to paint. But no funds available for that this month. So have to wait.

I made my hangers from 2 sections of flat bar brass with bent ends, and solder-pasted together back to back. Then cut to length & mounted on the tank.
Also helps with 'stand-off' to allow track clearance.
Much stronger than styrene and easily replaceable.
once the skirts are on, you cant tell they are not perfect Aber
When your tank glances off a building or bridge, you appreciate the concept

I dont want to attach skirts. I juist Need the "ok" hangers, do I thought to get the Aluminium ones from Chris Ludwig. Drill out the bolt heads off the Fenders and Mount tha hangers with real bolts.
Put the Panther togther for a test fit.
Now it is weathering of the hull. Making all chains and Pins and add Tools, spare track links and Machine gun. Might as well drill out the bulbs in the mantlet for more of a scope and MG look. And of Course some Detail painting and exhaust weathering. Might as well add a few oil and fuel stains here and there.

Thanks to Mr Bix invocations, I interrupted the Panther build and wen back to the turretless sister. Only minor work, fake Lids on the stowage bins, will add fake hinges and clasps as on the Panther. Added the C.Hook Mounts to the backside. Decided to build the Jagdpanther Starr, with recoilless gun and will add vent covers to make it late, what if.
I have to admit to enjoy the painting more than the Building.

Hey guys... being worn out after work, I juste took a shot of the 1/16 compared to the 1/35 Panther. The Size difference is amazing, as you are all 1/16ers nothing new to you... Well for me it still is
Edit: I guess the Taigen Panter is a bit off in proportions especially in the angle and thus length of the front.

Soeren,
You've done a great job here! Amazing paint and you are a better builder and detailer than you give yourself credit for. Don't worry about the little oddities of scale like the angling. They have to be looked for to be easily seen. Following along.

Painless

Got those skirt hooks. They seem a bit out of scale according to my drawings and reference models by about 15-20%.
So I started grinding these to shape and rounded off the edges where bends would be.

Some progess, reshaped and mounted the hangers on one side and added the casemate stowage box.
Now also waiting for some Interim kit
Arghh, the placement of the rivets on the fenders is wrong. Well, then start over again.
