That'll be the next build, after the Challenger 2, Type 10, and possibly the Canadian Leopard! I did build a Marine Abrams in 1/35...I will get around to posting pics.

While waiting for the jerry cans to arrive I decided to add the anti-slip texture. I've noticed in the various builds posted here that there are several alternative techniques. I decided to use the Rustoleum textured paint, saving the Tamiya Asphalt Diorama paint for a future build or for touch-ups. I'm pretty pleased with the results, since it looks in scale and not too uniform.

Great progress Tom, this is going to be an eye catcher with all the details you have put into the build. Don't forget to detail the conduits and wire for the smoke dischargers. Adding this small detail will give it more dimension in that area as it looks plain as compared to the other details you have done.

DNAR,

Thanks! Absolutely, after I've repositioned the smoke dischargers. I'm in the doghouse now! (haha) I've opened the doors, and will be working on the optics. I'd also like to rebuild the rotation ring for the 7.62mm gun, since the HL version is pretty thick. Thanks for checking in.

Have no idea really Uncarina....Hardware stores ...even Walmart used to carry it...then all of a sudden ...(might be because of New Homeland Security Rules)...boom!..no more on the shelves...only regular shaker can spray paints :'( ...I liked that stuff...came in two grades fine and course ;D
When you paint that it's going to look Fantastic

Hey Tom,

Looks great! Question; how would you grade the texture with respect to sandpaper? 400, 220, 180 etc....
