Yeah, it's around $400 at the moment so you did well.
My first big Tamiya tank kit was a Tiger, followed by a Sherman. Then a break for a few year (bought a house and got married) then played around with static kits before finally settling on a Pershing and a Hummer then another break (kids) and now a Pershing and a Leopard and a Hummer

What the tank looked like earlier in the build before the turret & other parts.

Tools are left unglued for now & will be painted individually off the model. I do not have the painting skills required to fully assemble a tank model & then be able to detail paint all the individual components that make up the model.

Good idea - you can always push bits of paper under the tools and paint them on he tank if you glue them on

Never heard of that modeling tip! My brush painting skills are not so great. Ill just mask & airbrush when I reach that point.

PZ,Hi, I knew there was something I had forgotten,
If you decide to brush paint metal primer you have to know that you will not be able to use acrylic thinners to clean your brush.
What you need is a Hydro-carbon based product such as Petrol/Gasoline if you can get hold of "REVELL" products they do a Gasoline based brush cleaner which I can recommend. or regular gas based thinners will do the job.

Thanks Shaun. I'll probably just use a old brush or a cheaper brush I don't mind throwing away after use.
