while I wait for the oils to dry on the chassis decided to try out some of the Mig Abteilung engine grease oils:

I think once I've done the clear coats and dusting I'll need to go back and touch these up as this oil looks really nice but not once it's had a clear coat put over it like the last wheel on the right.

I really enjoyed reading through this thread. I am in the process of a conversion on Tamiya as well. Thanks for the great photos and inspiration.

Added some wet mud over the dry.

Just need to fit two clamps and get the tracks the same colour as the wet mud. Fix the aerial and wire it up. Overall I think this has been the build I've been least into and I think it shows. I really enjoyed my Tiger and thus I think the finish on it is way better. I'll stick this on the shelf and chart it down to experience.

Thanks for the kind words. I guess I was looking to build something that surpassed my other KT that I was never happy with. Now I have two of them and I'm not totally happy with either of them. Whereas my third attempt at a Tiger was precisely what I'd hoped for (so I'll never build another!). Perhaps leaving it 4 months from when I got the model, then leaving it another 6 months until I picked it up again was a bad idea.
