Thanks for the info Richard, a bit of You Tubing has revealed that Builders Acrylic Caulk can be used, my next question is for Dom if he is reading...how wide is the gap under your bridge?

I would give the caulk a try on something not important. I've seen and read about PVA being used. I tried it. It was fine initially, but gradually over time it went opaque, I think from absoring water vapour from the atmosphere.

Mine was PVA, caulk may behave differently.
