Sorry it's been a while since I've updated. Life has been rough lately.

Anyway, I thought I'd give you guys a preview of one of my current projects.

Never good to hear of rought times, but these things normally smooth out over the course of time. I keep trying to tell myself that at least anyway!

I like the project, what a cool tanker. Where did you get that from? Looks very cool

it was a "PARK PLASTICS CO. TEXACO SEMI TRACTOR TANKER PRESSED METAL 1:16 SCALE" that I found on ebay.

Here's a pick of how it came.

Look at that cab. It's calling out for an RC conversion. That looks retro cool.
Never seen such toys in the UK. But then again, maybe I not enough either haha.

A quick update and many thanks to Wayne for helping out with some motor mounts.
Just done a quick comparison.
Twin motor.mount vs original box and larger motor by Will Pattinson, on Flickr

So I found a video on the JJ R/C trucks. Looks like the biggest difference are the axles are open diff and not locked, like the WPL ones. Which would make for easier turning.

Made some more progress on the tanker. Got igotit's 5th wheel hitch sorted.



And I got the trailer assembled.



I even got a test drive in the kitchen.



Only thing left is to get it all painted.

I need to know more about the "5" wheel, Where can I get one, and how much, and does it really work, and is it in 1/16
