Hi Sub, I’ll be watching your progress with interest ImageImage

My German drivers arrived today, I asked for the heads not to be glued on so I could have a go at making them move with the steering. Now come over here chaps, it won’t hurt a bit lol

Hi.
Yep def Piers Morgan :haha:
Just assembled the running gear of the truck...i think that the kit version is slightly different from the RTR ones you can buy in that all the axle drive pinions are brass and the first rear drive axle also has a brass crown wheel as standard.
I think these are options on the RTR versions.
I modified the rear axle links by fitting bushes onto the locating screws to take up all the play and the whole rear drive is much tighter and the axles and u joints move a lot more smoothly.
Still waiting for the 370 motor and 2 speed gearbox.
Will post some pics when it arrives.
Just wondering whether to upgrade the plastic axle bearings to ball races..it will take 18 in total...just greased every thing up at this moment and is very smooth.
Sub.

Gary!
Even keeping the fragility of some of the parts in mind, you are going to have a Wonder! of a truck! I am _very_ interested in the tires and hubs and dual hubs since I have the Gaz B-24 and I have one of those WWII Vintage WPL Chevy Dual Axle trucks coming along.
Following along, Doc!
regards,
Painless

Very nice Gary, those sound emulators are a great little bit of kit even if they are on the large side, luckily there's plenty of room in the rear of the trucks to stash them, I've been meaning to crack on with my deuce and blitz builds but other things keep popping up :D I have managed to get a base coat on the deuce but I've broken it down into it's component parts for that, i just need to put it all back together and start the detail paintwork then it's ready to roll

Cheers, Lee.
