See this on Ackerman angles
https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Yu ... -Loads.pdf
Easy thing draw out on paper to real scale. Get pins in a piece of wood behind to make up card template for wheels and steering axle. Make a mockup card template and play. Or if more scientific measure and calculate angle.
The rearmost steering axle you need to move the point at which the steering arm attaches to change the angle, or you could also change the point where the link to the servo joins the servo e.g. move it closer to the servo centre of rotation.
Hopefully that should help

That was my plan, it won't be perfect, but it will do the job. Just need a tighter steering radius on the rearmost axle. It will mostly be a static model as I rarely get to run them, hence perfection isn't going to be essential.

Here’s the batch of drivers that I ordered, I asked for them not to have their heads glued on so I can make them move with the steering

I paid £16 each for them painted however i wanted. Bargain in my book

The last truck I ordered arrived today. A WPL B16 Sand beige 6x6.
The driveline and suspension is great on this truck. But as always it's going to get a good detailing.

Drives quite well off-road. But it needs more torque. I hate the steering servo noise, so this one is getting servo upgrade aswell. Probably leave the driveline as it is and upgrade if neccessary as and when. Want to replace wheels & tyres to be inline with the narrower real truck. So there's a plan for the new 3D printer.

Decided to crack on with my trailer for the WPL truck i am building for myself.
Metal Chassis as i have shown before, but have now cut out the tailgate and hinged it up with 1/12 scale dolls house hinges.
More work to the trailer. Hinged rear tailgate. by

Just got some machining to do for the axle and fit bearings etc. But it moving on.
Last night my Military Ambulance went off to a new owner as i wanted to get started on another build.
Apologies if i had already shown pictures of the ambulance, but i was pleased with this build, but it just didn't fit into my bigger plan for WW2 era vehicles.
Cosmetic Ambulance build complete. Now need to move on to the next build

It had a wounded soldier in the back just to help with the idea it was built as a field ambulance!

Hi All.
Just took delivery of a WPL 6x6 in kit form ie no electronics but you do get the motor gearbox etc and a stearing servo and servo mount which is an excellent fit.
Will be fitting the upgrade 370 motor and 2 speed gearbox when that arrives.
Only niggle is that the links on the rear 2 axles are a slack fit on the shouldered screws so you get a lot of slack in the rear suspension...I am Working on a mod for that and will make some more accurate links from 1/8 thick alluminium and will try relocating the rear axle mount for the links as it pushes the rear axle sideways slightly out of true allignment with the centre drive axle.
This should be easily rectified with a longer link and reversing the upper axle mount.
