Been practicing my winter camouflage on 1:1 house walls.

What a

After neglecting this build, a small bit of progress was made on this. I want to get it up and operational, if not painted in time for the end of the builds.
A little bit of free time saw two braces made to strengthen the chassis, and the first installed on one side. This was bonded in with spacers and allowed to dry over night. I will finish the other side later.

Nice work on the reinforcement brackets, nice clean cuts and fit! Still need to try that JB Weld epoxy.

Are you using hairspray on those walls, or MiG insta-white, or jnewboy wonder whitewash?
The reinforcing plates look pretty sweet. Another T72 thing to do!
Mike.

Hey hey, Meter Rat: we still have a week!

For my T26E3 I have the stowage and crew to finish. Gulp!

Kidding, of course: Just enjoy!

Does May end on the 27th this year? And technically "on or before" June 6th adds some wiggle room too.

Lard! Might have well given the state they left the house in.

Plenty of time. I finished my Tiger, which became the important one. Pleased about that.

Thank you. Completely different to doing the reinforcement on the Challenger.
Gearboxes went in today. Trimmed the side reinforcement so the upper hull will fit flush. Also bonded in front and rear cross braces. Rear drive support bearings installed. No bank holiday on the 27th up ‘ere, and it is Punk on the Peninsula over the weekend, at which I am doing sound and light. It’ll be fine.

First paint going on. Not really very happy with it. Air brush was playing up, as I could not get the paint right. Oh well, with a bit of weathering and touching in with a brush, it may look alright. Black to do next.

You will triumph in the end! It looks as if the green did not go on evenly. Yet the white--the one 'color' that consistently gives me the most trouble, brush, can or airbrush(es)--worked well. If you are also using black and then weathering, well, no problem!
