The core collapsible tubing is done in brass tubes of the proper size and length, with the extremities crushed and given M1 bolts and nuts.

As per reference pictures, they need to be pilled on top of each other, back to back like this.

I was wondering where were the exhaust stacks on the M12. I found them to be on both sides of the lower hull as shown on the Academy 1/35 kit.

Reproduced with Sherman exhaust resin parts found in the spare box, leftover from a previous Sherman conversion kit years ago.

Mato metal Sherman tools were modified and installed as per reference. The grill was given a brass frame, with locking brackets seen in pictures.

Also notice the engine fire extinguisher control box with the two knobs on the upper right of the picture.

The heavy hammer is installed at the front, with brass holding base.

A cylinder of some kind has a base on the left rear mud guard and wall.

The construction of the model is almost finished. I only have to put on the tie-downs in different locations.
Here is a final view of the model before painting. It will simply be given an overall US WW2 Olive drab coat, no way around it.

Simply a marvelous bit of modeling art. Your ability to see the detail and make it happen as if out of thin air is just awe inspiring. A beautiful interpretation of an unusual piece of equipment.

That is one splendid model which shows of your skill at being able to make a stunning model out of questionable parts. Very well done.

Thank you Square4 and MITCH, i really appreciate your feedback.
To finish the build, here is a crew member, some more pics and a YOUTUBE video of the model in action in a 5 round fire mission.
For the crew member, i selected the un-exciting Verlinden figure no 954 for modifications. It has all the required components.

The idea is to modify the arms to replace the holding of the wine bottle by an ammo round. All the soldier equipment is discarded.

The interior of the model with the ammo rounds stored is really too small to install the figure inside. It therefore stays outside as seen in reference pictures.
