So here's the superstructure printed all in one go except the lower glacias which I'll add on after (for printing layout reasons). It makes the part look small, but that print area is over 16". This simplifies things quite a bit and reduces post finishing a lot too - no body work. As before, the roof and rear deck are added separately (as it was in full scale).

Looks great! A bigger printer is very handy as well, would love to have one of those!

Impressive, and I guess hulls printed as a whole unit will be stronger than those bonded together later.

Thanks. Surprisingly, the way I did it in 2 pieces is just as strong or stronger as the one piece, but sure is a lot less work to do as one.
I primered up the upper hull. With a consistent coat on it it doesn't look half bad. I've no talent for painting, so now comes the hard part for me!

I would, but postage would be a killer! I suppose I gotta learn the painting basics some time. Irony is, I can paint a car, but hopeless at painting models.

Thanks.. Maybe something similar to that first one would be in my wheelhouse... Won't be exact, but something similar. I got the paints, now just need to do it and onto the Stug. There's still some bits to do like hammer and shovel and whatnot, but those are common and can be done later.
