To be honest even the Matt paints can sometimes dry satin if we don’t quite get the mix right for the airbrush. Which is good for a wet mud look. Not so much for dust or sand

The special thing here is that I am using oik paint togehter with a specil curing aid. Mine is a satin agent, but they sell it matt, satin and gloss. I might get the matt one day, as satin dust would look rather silly. Oils are definitely an interesting option for those wanting to do color modulation without an airbrush.

Well it looks like it working and blends quite well so could be worth a go on my is3 if I ever Finnish it

Watching this , nice work getting the look correct on all the flat panels must be a nightmare to do.
