Might have modern power plant for the Kingtiger

This could solve the lack of low end power for crawling and turning.

- Going to strip this down

- Tested and its OK. If i can remove the pinion on the motor it will fit.

Fitted the motor out of a Dewalt impact driver 10.8V. The motor fitted well ,even had the fixing holes and the bearing housing on front same size as the hole in the gearbox . Another plus it has a fan to cool the motor. Test run perfect, original motor on side.

- Any longer and the terminals would foul the gearbox.

Wardog The KT has lots of space for a big LIPO , if run time is short i had better buy some 5000mah ones.

Very innovative use of that drill motor mate, and even more amazing it was a perfect fit after destroying the drill to try it !
How far from paint are you ?

Hi Herman A long way off painting, its still winter here . Looking at a new airbrush and compressor, old setup is a Revell plastic box set. Have a small one to build and paint first to get some ideas.

- No turning back now, made a mistake with the styrene will be handy if i do a tiger .
Time for some changes, the old central turret gearing is going. Think i have sorted out cutting the hull for a Leopard ball bearing turret ring.
Along time sorting the ring for centre . If the plastic servo gears strip will change to one with metal gears.

A tie-wrap and servo tape for now .The servo bracket is a hard metal burned out a drill bit, time for some good twist drills.

Turret test one revolution slow 75 sec, fast 15 sec. Now to find out a KTs real time speed of rotation.

- Just love how you can adjust settings with an Elmod board.
