Wow that is going to look amazing when you are done the weathering. I'm surprised the PZIV doesn't get more love on the forum

Looks pretty realistic to me. A nice muted pattern like you see in photos. I can see some poor tanker out there, diluting his tin of pigment with some diesel swiped from a shot up T34, and cursing the spray gun that keeps clogging.
Gonna look great weathered like a true workhorse, not one of those fashionista panthers or tigers with their fancy-schmancy makeup...

Thanks Mr Mechaniker , I hope so.
Id assume the only reason the venerable P4 gets little(relative to others) airtime is the only versions available are early G's from 2 manufacturers en-mass with the wild inaccuracies , with the rare as rockinghorse :poop: Tamiya as the benchmark being unavailable and simply out of reach.

The reason I got this is the guy that owned it before me (is a Tamiya guy) could not cope with the inaccuracies.
Idler to high, drive sprocket to low, mantlet to far out, engine deck not sloped, suspension is awful, and its an early G/L43 rather than the most produced H/J/ L48 versions :/

Cheers Mr Coleman, thats what I am aiming for. My poor old airbrush cant stay consistently tight any more & this paint job reinforced that.
While I know its hard to do a deliberately messy paint job that doesnt look like a mess, if the spray fan is doing its own thing, thats the outcome :problem:

I will send you my old one once I replace it Mr Chef ;)
Better than none.

If I weren't so many thousands of miles away, Bix, I would relieve you of that PzKfw. IV you hate so much. I would give the poor foundling a happy home. :D

Painting tools on a model is annoying
But I take solace in that they are largely unseen behind the schurzen and once it’s all weathered they will blend in to the overall view.
