I went the easy way ...
Get new original worm gears.
Any other solution is very complex and takes up too much space.
Unfortunately, normal transmissions do not fit because the output shafts are too close to the frontal armor.
I have to drive over the countershaft:

To reduce the risk of new transmission damage
I have now taken brushless inrunner, these start more gently.

Hi Tanker,

Did you know WeCoHe?
I have a WeCoHe-Panther Turret...
This is the right thing for my Panther II.
Verry good mechanic and high level details:

This is a fantastic looking turret. Does WeCoHe do it again or was it a leftover?

Yeah, Soeren, there's something about well-engineered models, and gadgets that act as a magnet to many boys and men. :) Who wouldn't want one of these? :D Better still, the tank underneath it too.... :D
WeCoHe still sell bespoke parts through Torro, and elsewhere it appears.

Back in 2016, I began this thread ("Whatever happened to WeCoHe?" ), all about the WeCoHe enterprise. Tank kit making ceased in 2011, it seems.

Hi Soeren,
it´s a leftover and not fully complete.
I am using Tamiya parts for the completion.

This is a marvel, a massive leap away from the toys that the shops sell to the masses. Why can't the 1/16th scale get it correct , the 1/35 th models have much more detail. Converting a standard tank from a toy has created a massive aftermarket industry , suppose the market caters for the ready to run model the punters want. I started with a £ 99 HL after a day it was ready for the bin. Then i discovered they can be improved.

It's a big different between 40€ for a high quality multi media kit and the price of just one addon I guess.
Wecohe dies great stuff. But the price is tooo steep for me.

Jhamm, you weren't happy with the latch and bolt aber provided? I was quite happy to see a turned bolt in the kit compared to only folded pe as before.

He is a perfectionist :D sometimes the best products are not good enough. Thanks for the pic of the loaders hatch much better than my homemade effort . I had better start looking at PROXXON machines again.
