Hi Carl, the only suggestion I can make here (because it's what I have done) is go with your own feelings. Whatever looks and feels right as a camouflage for your tank is at the end of the day what you are going to look at and have to feel comfortable with. In the field I believe the tank crews, although there may have been some official guidance about colours to use and hence what was supplied to them, will have done their own schemes to make their tank as little noticeable as possible to avoid getting whacked by aircraft or opposing tanks and guns.

Do what appeals to you the most and if you don't like it you can change it, after all it's only the outside of the tank that will be camouflaged.

Whichever way you go I am sure you will continue with the excellent work you are doing on the model.

Plus.....................the longer you(as a crew member) took to complete your field preparation on the AFV you were assigned to, was a day less you faced direct contact with the enemy.

1st camo for me..like you say simple and effective, with weathering I think it would look great.

I too can be somewhat odd and impulsive
So my plan is to start with the green and then continue toward the first scheme...

And then...

Enhance it with more green or bring in the red brown...

Fun choices

As the building continues I have had some time to work on the rear of the Nashorn and bring in some of my own home made details.

Using styrene and brass tubing I was able to accomplish some fitting of the rear spare road wheel holders and tow hitch attachment point.

I made a cover for the radio cabinet with plastic sheet cut to size.

Still working on the paint camoflouge scheme as I await my parts to add the spare tracks and transmission covers.

Excellent scale add-ons, CR73. Your work with the brass tubing is excellent and not overly thick as most model kits depict it. Your radios bring a smile to my face as I know from working on my StuG, how hard it is to make them look real as yours do. Following along for paint.
