Herman,
That is an elegant solution and beautiful to behold in it's simplicity. Following along. ;o)

Nice Job there Herman

...does seem the lube access is limited now

...did you make it so the louvers could open in the opposite way?

Thank you Squire, if I was real clever they would have a servo on them

They will open 'backwards' but the tubes on spray cans will be flexible enough to get where I need it to got in the volumes required.
Not clear in the pictures, but the centre lines of each are closed up so that if they get rolled over backwards they will not shut tight.
Mounted the electrical conduits and plated over the gaps on the deck vents.
The plate is very thin aluminium (aloominum !) that will paint & seal up ok.
For the amount of times the engine vent cover will be open, the result is satisfying & wont cause any trouble down the track.
Now I can look to fit out the drive hardware & suspension and secure the hull top & turret.

Mine are rigged for that

...maybe on the redo....I'll install a motor drive on them...have to figure out which circuit to tap into...maybe the firing light

So the two tanks that ride off the back are going to be installed? Good to know your vents allow for lubing...mine definitely wouldn't ....because they open at the same time opposing the opening of the hatch...there just isn't enough leeway ...no matters though...the wax I use on the gearboxes last pretty long

My one regret with this model as a whole is the limited interior space....want to put a TARR in it ..but I'm just not certain I can do it without major surgery

Jury still out on the rear smoke canisters. Looking less & less likely as things proceed though.
I bunged him all back together & tested all functions.
Looks like I've done nothing at all on it. !!

Good morning, Herman,
Will you be installing the single rear tail lamp? It should fit in that little embrasure when the rear hatch is closed. Following along!

Painless
