Love the camo pattern; so when you say "all I did was copy that," all I can say is that you you did one heck of a job doing so. Beautiful work...crisp and clean. Just beautiful. My question is, did you use Blu-Tac or similar product to obtain the sharp hard edge color lines or a brush and fill in the pattern. Whatever you did, it looks superb.

Thanks. I used silly putty. Blue tac sticks but silly putty doesn't really adhere to the surface. It's strange stuff but way better than blue tac.

Still not got further with it so the hull needs it's dots and still got all the detail and weathering to do. Will probably wait until later in the year, weather is good so playing with my cars at the moment.

Thanks. Don't want to wish life away, but can't wait to see the next stages and the end result. A great job!

I've got near the desired effect. I think I need to sand a bit more, I've got these Tamiya P2000 grit papers which give a nice polish look but it takes a long, long time to get the effect.

Nice job on the surface texture! Mr. Surfacer is really effective & easy to use.

Started ageing the turret but the numerals are rather bright.

The top is also done and will paint this weekend.

I just purchased a 1/16 Tamiya King Tiger that's already built from a friend. Your build thread was very informative on what I need to do on mine. Nice paint work on your machine!

Thanks. Sadly it's still under the desk in that same unfinished state while a 5th scale RC sits on top getting my attention.

Found some motivation to start again. Discovered where it's been under the desk some of the PE clamps got crushed so need to make some more. Finished of the dots, added a first layer of varnish and started on the oils. Still a fair amount to do.

Yeah, I really love the look with the guards off. Going to redo my other King Tiger after this but with the guards on and zimmerit.

More filters, more oils and the colours are now a little less vivid and that red/brown is looking less orange.

Need to get the roadwheels to match now. The tactical numbers still stand out too much.
