OK, as promised, here's the Jagdtiger. I absolutely love this tank. If anyone were to ask me, "Should I buy one of these and put an IBU2 in it?" I would say YES, YES, YES.



One of the things I love about my cheap video camera is that I'm not afraid to shoot BBs at it. I don't know why I get such a kick out of that, but I won't shoot BBs at the Cannon.



Another thing I love to do is shoot short little videos of the tanks, like 20 seconds to about a minute. One of these days I'll learn to edit and I'll string a bunch of them together.

You're getting good at aiming that gun.

I was going to start a separate thread for this, but I reread Scalawag's original post and you said anything related to Tigers, including tips and tricks, and I think that's a great idea. What follows is mostly for new guys like me and most of you old pros will have seen most of this, but some if it may still be interesting. Just some tips specific to Imex/Taigen Tiger One tanks, but they can be adapted to other tanks as well. I just really love all types of Tigers and that's why this is fast becoming my favorite thread. After all, even in the animal kingdom, when it comes to big cats the Tiger is the biggest and baddest of them all, hands down.

So don't keep me in suspense, Kaiser, what am I missing? I'm not posting stuff in the wrong place or covering old stuff again, am I? I searched first to see if anyone has previously posted the braces and couldn't find anything. I thought about putting this in Tips and Tricks, but chose the Tiger thread because I'm thinking a year from now when a new guy joins with a Tiger we can send him here. Braces? Tiger thread, Page 5. Spare track bars? Tiger thread, page 5. Not a good idea?

Those supports look like a great idea, and just from that photo I know I can make my own. I'm the acting plant superintendent for Fairlane Gear so I have access to a fully equipped machine ship. That can really come in handy in this hobby.

And Kaiser, you can call me Max or Gary iffen ya want to.

I'm about to post a whole thread on the new airsoft turrets with barrel recoil. I thought about posting it here since it's a Tiger turret, but being a new product that a lot of guys have an interest in I think that one should go in general discussion, so you can look for it there.

Gary if you do choose to fit AXLE SUPPORT BEARINGS (a very good idea by the way) there is some thing important to know,
The bearings are held in place by a flat headed screw and a nut,
The holes that you drill to position the screw and nut need to be drilled in a place that will not be blocked by the gearboxes and with enough space to use a small "B A " spanner,
If you get it wrong you will not be able to get the nut on or off without removing the gearboxes!!!

Thanks, Shaun, I'll keep that in mind if I get around to this mod. It does look like a good idea so it's on the "to-do" list, but that's a very long list.

I just realized I forgot to post the third Tiger video, so here it is

I posted this video in the S33 thread, but I thought I'd put it here in case anyone is wondering about the two machine gun feature in the Asp. It's a pretty easy install to put an LED machine gun in the mantlet of an airsoft Tiger One and the asp and 9XR are set up so each gun has its own switch. I like it.

I also have to clarify something, when I said that in some ways the Asp is actually superior to the IBU2 (IMHO) I should have said, the Asp, when paired with the properly modified 9XR Pro is, in some ways, actually superior. That's also a LOT more expensive. With shipping my 9XR was over $200US. Well worth it to me, but I'm sure there will be those who disagree.

Clean with a little battle damage.





Now with added dirt, made using wood glue and coloured chalks





Next up is my new Torro Jagdtiger still clean and no damage (YET)
