Alpha, you have really put a lot of effort into this tank to make it look like the Sherman in Girls und Panzer, and it shows. Are you also going to make the figure for this tank that was shown in the anime? I think that's the first time I've seen the exhaust that you made out of copper. Along with the gun mount and shield on this tank, and the exhaust you made for your Panzer III, I am really impressed with your ability to create things in metal - things that would scare me to even attempt to build in plastic!

What can I say fynsdad.... watching you build your IDF... inspired the creation of it...I had been sitting on the concept for awhile..seeing what you did ... was like a kick in the rear...to get going on it....it was actually a little cleaner... but came apart when i soldered the connecting tubes

I regret not having photos of it in the open... I had accidentally deleted them

Bottom line... Thanks fynsdad... for the proverbial kick in the butt and the help in getting this baby on track again :D

This tank is very pleasing to the eye. All of the elements that you have put together, work together. I can't wait to see it in paint with all of the little details like tools and light guards added. Will you be building those in copper or using a Tamiya sprue? You have done some incredibly nice modeling here, my friend.
warm regards,
Painless
She's come a long way for sure Painless...far from being complete.... still have a long list of "to do's"...as far as the light protectors go... I'm still undecided...if I did them with metal .. I would go with brass ...thing is ... finding the materal

So I might just go with the salvaged HENG LONG cages

The modelling is nothing compared to what you have done Painless...but right now... I'm having a great deal of fun working on her :D

Looking very good Alpha, I like the exhaust system, very neat. Really captures the overall look of the tank you are modelling.

Wow! Metal light guards to go along with the metal upper hull; metal gun shields; metal exhaust; and metal tracks - that has got to be one heavy Sherman! It's hard to see the taper of the barrel in the photos, but I know it's there, and it looks a lot better than the 105mm one you originally had. It is going to be a shame to cover all of your great work up, when you eventually paint it. It is a very nice and one-of-a-kind build. -Mike
