:haha: ...Your guess is better than mine lol ... at least you have a real photo... I couldn't find one... most of the photo's I found were of the Trumpeter model... I just went with that... but it could be they got it wrong as well... because though the access hatch in your "real" photo is square.... there are no hinges on the top above the exhausts... so it had to have opened in only one directions

What can I say... you're the doctor... I think you're more used to finding these things... and in this case I think your photo proves it

With that said... hell if I'm changing mine :haha: ... at least I got the louvers correct

Have a good one Phil

Stick with the way you have done it, I'm defo going to copy your louvers, which look the part.

It took me a long time bending the brass to get it to line up correctly with the barrels and the hull, could have built a Tiger 1 in the time it took to do that and almost launched the tank at the garage wall!

The other angry turning into the hulk moment was to try and remove the ariel stub on the turret, somethings they just pop out, oh but no not this time, clamped in a vice I twisted and pulled until I thought it popped but no it just snapped off and left a little stub.

Started to drill it out, got so hot it melted through and dropped out into the turret, one way to do it I suppose.

Note to me: don’t try and remove said item before it cools down because its nuclear hot!

Small rubber one now fitted.

Didn't yours come with the plastic rubber substitutes for the antenna? I didn't check my older instruction packet... but the new one from MIDEATECH came with two (different sizes )...you should have told me... I don't plan on using them... and would have sent them off to you right off

And my engine lid... it's not going anywhere lol.... it's in there good ... no way it's coming out :haha:

OMG! :O It does swing both ways.... must have been a hassle to hammer out that hinge pin

And dang!!!!one thing your picture shows... is the area right behind the two vents for the engine.. are enclosed 8O ..not a problem if my tank wasn't half way painted... and the access hatch secured to the body

Oh well ... back to the MOD shop :haha:

Thank you Dr Phil and dgsselkirk  ... for the great photographs of the T34's engine compartment  ... I filled the two holes HENG LONG has behind the two upper vents next to engine access hatch...it wasn't too difficult... and I found perfect plastic from a scrapped TIGER1 hull...fortunately the plastic had a perfect "shelf" to it ... to which I used a file to increase the "table" for the vent to sit on... then cut and shaped it to fit...it's not perfect... but considering I couldn't fit my hands in where they should go... I think they came out pretty decently :D
