I see you got the tail wheels going there MK1NUT :D ....What great surroundings to show off your tank..looks to be the crowd consisted of 1/6th scale enthusiasts...Your tank looks right at home there :thumbup:

Thanks for sharing the pictures :clap:

PS...I still like the "Raw Steel" look...the details stand out more than when it's painted for some reason...then again..It could just be because I'm a clean freak :{

For those of you interested in how I managed to get two sponsons working off a unit that normally only operates one turret... the answer is here at the Pololu website... http://forum.pololu.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10350

That's actually very interesting MK1nut...as theoretically that system could translate into the workings for a Lee/Grant tank...which I had thought of giving a go in 1/16th....just making the two main guns and the turret work ..just seemed to be a handful
In a way it still is...as there does seem to be a need for a more diverse remote system ;)

PS. Still can't get over all that rivet work :clap:

Ok I've not added to this page in simply ages, sorry guys. Anyhow the Tank is back out of winter storage and paint is going on.
The Scheme I am going with is as they left the Factory. It is an all over grey primer with some very badly written Russian Cyrillic on the sides. The cover story for the 'Landships' was that they were being built as motorised water tanks. The Russian writing was to throw the spy off even more by hopefully making them think they were a gift to Petrograd in Russia.
The code word tended to be shortened to Tanks and the rest is history.

The Model was given a coat of Halfords Grey Primer. It gives a good base coat and is a shade darker than my final top coat grey, this will help with weathering. I work work with acrylic paints so I tend to go with pre-weathering which looks way over the top and tone it back down with progressive layers of paint. Then there's washes and chip techniques to stop it all looking the same. Also I will vary the technique depending if the area is vertical or horizontal. Stippling on horizontal areas like the roof and streaks on the vertical sides.

No were near finished yet but wanted to show the model has not been abandoned.

Hope you like
