Re: Amateur Build. HAYA Centurion KIT
The gun barrel holder that mounts on the back corner of the Haya Centurion can with the help of a metal paper clip be made fully functioning.
If anyone knows where I can get hold of anther Haya one I would be very happy because the Tongde one is too flimsy to modify,
Anyone with a Tongde Centurion should try to get hold of a set of Haya metalTow ropes to replace the piece of string you get with your Cent,
The mounting bracket is easy to convert with the use of a modelling file.Leave the fitting of the converted tow ropes to last this will make space available for all the other fittings around the tail section.

HAYA Centurion KIT. 2.6 x 6 Flanged STS.
Hi ongbenghui
That looks like the 2.6 x 6 flanged STS.
I have these and identified them every time I have used them - most recently for holding the recoil servo onto its mounting .
Screws used are identified every time I use them to help those that are not sure which ones to use for each stage of the assembly.
As a matter of interest, the combined head with washer is still smaller than the holes that hold the gun mounts - unless a bigger washer is fitted to cover the hole .......which is where I am with the build now.

Let him know you are a HAYA Centurion owner and that you are reading this build blog - it may help
Bob.

HAYA Centurion KIT. De-Bond Cyno Mistake?
Hi Prof,Herr Dr. Professor wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 4:54 pm I am not sure if by "headlamp covers" you mean the green plastic parts or the clear lenses. For (green of any colored) styrene plastic parts I use cyanoacrylate debonder: there are various brands and, in fact, I keep two or three brands handy. Just search the internet for "Cyanoacrylate Debonder."
However, I have not tried such a debonder on clear plastic (as for lenses), as I avoid CA (cyanoacrylate) glue on clear plastic. Rather, I use a special adhesive for clear lenses or even a PSA--pressure sensitive adhesive--for clear lenses. It's good, but removable. Do you have a nearby hobby store? (My "nearby" hobby store is 65 KM away.)
I am away celebrating our 53rd wedding anniversary tomorrow (2nd October)
While I am away I will be checking-out the local shops to find some CA debonder.
The two headlamp covers on the Centurion glasis plate are green plastic - they have no lenses on the HAYA Centurion - so hopefully your idea with the debonder will help me remove them.
Bob.

Re: Amateur Build. HAYA Centurion KIT
"They have no lenses on the HAYA Centurion."
I should have known that. Whether I can remember is another question. But most importantly of all:
Thanks for the CAKE Dr Prof.
Thank you Herr Dr. Professor,
Very much appreciated

Happy anniversary Bob,
We celebrated our 51st on the 19th of last month (September),
I don't know about you but it was the best decision I have ever made.

HAYA Centurion KIT. Bob Smith Cyno De-Bonder
Hi Proff, I have taken your advice and ordered some Bob Smith debonder - hopefully it will let me get the front light housings off of the glasis plate - without damaging the plastic
No local shops stock it around the Ainsdale/Southport area where we are staying so I ordered some online from Amazon £6.99.
