It's just gotta be done Mr B!
For myself, a set of 'normal' SU disc type please. If you can produce these to be Taigen tyre compatible then great. Let me know when you want my address and monies!
I've ordered an initial set of tyres, no idea of cost yet, but I'll keep you all posted on that.
This is how l found them this morning. Looks like the crew found my opened bottle of vodka last night

I know its a diorama and so has 'licence' but jeez, when I grow up (?) I want to be this good.........................
If I can get mine to look this good I shall pass a happy man/person/non-specific gender identity

You may struggle to get much interior fitted, our electronics tend to dominate! Nice build though.

IT'S HAPPENING
Mixed results today, I had some successes and some self-induced failures. A section of supports detached about two hours into the print, so there's a bunch of weird layer shifting across the dish of the wheel; you can see the swirls across the surface. I'm putting it down to a mix of inexperience and overconfidence (which is usually a winning combination) but I think I know what I did wrong and how to fix it.
Dimensionally, things are spot-on though. The two halves fit together snugly and the Heng Long tyre is a perfect fit.
All in all I've learned a huge amount today, I'm going to try to dial in some settings tomorrow and have another crack at it. I've got a few improvements I'd like to make to the model too.

It's called progress mate! Could the problem you've described lead to delamination of the print layers? You'll crack it

Great find MrB! The SU-101 / 102 models look as though they could be fabricated from a SU-100 kit and some clever plasticard bashing but the road wheel arrangement is the reverse of a T34 layout, fixable but a nuisance!
It's a shame they are not as 'cool' looking as the T34 / SU range but now they've been exposed on the forum l bet someone somewhere will build one. Herman?? They even had prototypes up and running before war's end. That didn't stop the Panther F being available, did it?

That 122-44 is a damn good looking SPG/Tank Hunter.............the entire overview is very informative, and the prototype testing pictures adds to that.
Any one of these drawings would make a great project
Almost would say that the 102 would have been "Russia's Elephant" had they gone ahead with it.
