Herman,

The Blade looks fantastic!

I've taken my family on many of these types of journeys "day out for a drive" only to end up at a hobby shop. :O

Thanks Mr C, its a con job that they are used to, but still seems to surprise them !!
I'm getting the lower blade mounting arms done now and hope to get my drill & screw on over the weekend.
Once thats sorted, and the blade assembly is as right as it can be, I will open the hull, install the electronics, test, and secure the hull halves to move on with completion.

The blade is on 8)
Well, at least to the lower mounts it is.
Took a bit of manipulation to get the final angles & heights right, but once I had the right look, it was marked and solder paste appled in the required spots.
Clamped the blade back onto the mounts & hit the areas with the butane burner.
Solder paste took immediately & seems to be very firm.
The top mounts I made need to be trimmed shorter slightly, so a bit to do there yet.
The lower mounts were secured to the final drive housings by drilling clean through the plastic and bolting with an M3 hex head bolt and a nylock nut on the other side.
The drive sprockets will cover the heads of the bolts & will not be noticeable.

Once this blade is all mounted & done, its going to move quickly I hope !

Herman that blade is a work of art! Almost a shame to paint it

Here is a paint process that IMO yields a very convincing unpainted steel.

Barry that indeed would make for quite the realistic blade for Herman's build. Nice suggestion!

Great find Mr C...................I was close to that method when I did the anti strafing plates on my Jagdtiger a while back.
That is exactly the look i will need to finish off once(if ever) it gets there :/
