The camera and the lighting make them look worse than they are, in reality the layer lines are barely visible. My usual trick is to use a thick coat of Vallejo lacquer as a levelling liquid but of course, it doesn't work so well on sloped surfaces, tends to run downwards due to gravity. :|
It looks very, very impressive to me. I'm sure Alwyn was absolutely right about the amount of thought and effort that went into this. Much as I admired you Comet, this is in another league in terms of detail and finish.
I've not even switched my printer on yet, let alone begun to study the basics of CAD. I'm in awe of what you, Alwyn, Wayne and others have achieved..
As for the effects of gravity on Vallejo levelling, just do one (level) surface at a time. Support the tank in a box full of bubble wrap, or old cushions, to get the chosen surface level each time..

I'll sort it one day, it's barely noticeable to the natural eye.

I did a machine gun today, printed as one piece and turned out ok. Realised that I should do a few tow hooks as well...

I did a new turret ring for the Comet yesterday as the old turret sat too high, it looks a bit better now.

Finally got to test it around the battlefield. I activated the momentum for a while but it was uncontrollable, so deactivated it to keep all of the scenery in one piece. I also discovered that my devious plan to not fit a forward facing IR sensor was flawed, as anyone could fire at me from the front and the IR would bounce off the walls and hit the rear sensors. Curses!

W.W.,
Good morning,
Looking forward to the video! Your work inspires. I would have never done up the interior of my M36B1 if you had not exhorted me to "leave the tin lid off".
regards,
Painless
