Re: RC Tank Brands?
Good afternoon, again,
Believe me, I understand. Personal experience with Erik and IMEX has show me that he will do what is needed to make an issue right. In my case it was an ad picture and description being wrong leading up to the wrong tank being shipped to me. Instead of making me ship the tank back, he sent me every metal piece required to make that tank exactly what was specified in the ad. I don't think that Raptor will be left to hang. A last thing comes to mind, a favorite saying from my Mother, who was a formidable woman. "You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar"
regards and good luck!

I just spent almost 6 weeks waiting for a single Schumo kit to come from a Vendor I have used before. ETO. I communicated via emails with the Owner, Robert and we talked about Eastern Bloc tank stuff while I waited. Even tho, this issue was a big inconvenience as it was the last bit needed to call a build complete, I didn't let impatience ruin all the time that had gone into building a good relationship with this vendor. Remember, bad vendors go by the wayside all the time but the good ones are worth it for all the times that the orders go right and you don't give them a second thought. ETO will be there the next time I need something hard to find from Schumo. Erik and IMEX will be there for you if you work with them a little. Five days is one business week. Throw in a huge Model Trade Show and yeah, I can see it taking time. Plus, any time you have an issue with a tank, you want the Dealers best guy on it and in this case, Erik is their _Best Guy_ Worth waiting a little for.

Hello,
Well so far I think Ive been very patient all things considered. Starting a hobby and getting 3 tanks in a row with issues 2 of which were from the same dealer with a good reputation can get anyone down. I am not saying that Imex is bad, and I would not want them to be put on the "Black List", I honestly don't think they belong on that list. I'm just stating facts. First off buy the King Tiger, get it on a weekend and I run it, stops working in 10 seconds and IR strobe didn't work. Email Imex get a response right away Monday morning, after sending emails with info video and pics I don't a response the rest of the week. After not getting a response by day 3 I decide to look inside the tank (Im hoping its a simple easy fix), inside I see mother board is loose, gears stripped and a dead moth inside. and I have to eventually call, the excuse given to me for the lack of communication was that I may be having email problems (I doubt that because all other communications are fine but ok ill let that slide), according to Imex they sent me a return label the next day after I sent the video and pictures via email, but I never got the email and I checked my spam mail just to make sure. But ok so after that call with Erick in a few hours that same day I get the email with the UPS slip and he says he will even include a set of torro tracks when the new tiger tank is sent back to me (awesome right?). So that takes care of that, despite the lapse in communication it gets taken care of right? So I give them another chance and buy the Panther G during their sale with free shipping and a bigger battery. While the Panther is on its way the King Tiger finally arrives at their place friday, I don't expect them to do anything at the end of the week but come Tuesday/Wednesday I don't think its that difficult to pack up and send another one regardless of the event they have going on, at the very least they should confirm that they received it and inform me that they are going to prep and send another one out, so now the Panther gets here, and again more problems, IR receiver missing, broken tow cables, loose speaker and an electrical problem because it cycles off after firing one shot. Super gluing the speaker was about all I could do because from what I could see inside everything was where it should be, no wires or harnesses appeared to be cut or loose. So now no word on my KT and I have a malfunctioning Panther with no clear way to fix it and im down over 500 dollars.

So all things considered I think Ive been patient and I don't believe I am bad mouthing Imex I am merely keeping you guys informed and letting you know whats been going on, yes its frustrating, yes they have a show, but they also have other workers at their warehouse that should be able to handle things while the big bosses are out doing what they need to do to maintain business. It is what it is, its out of my hands and ive done all I could do, Ill leave it to Imex to make things right if they want. Ive done too much already and gone out of my way as it is, I cant even make that Monday call he requested because Ill be on a trip with my family. So lets see what happens. I am not going to stress about it anymore, I am not gonna send any more emails or communications. Im throwing in the towel, might be a loss on my end but lesson learned I guess. As always if anything changes Ill let you guys know. It seems like my case is rare and densest happen often but it doesn't mean I have to like it....anyways sorry for the long rant.

PS: I do appreciate all you guys helping me out and giving word of encouragement and jokes lol

As for Mr raptor hanging, I didn't mean get a bad end result, I meant he's left not knowing what's going on. But, he does have the likes of you to reassure him, and the likes of me to poke fun at him to hopefully make him smile![]()
Mick.
It is appreciated

Mr Fox don't be sorry. I would be bit more frustrated myself if this happened to me with any product that I may have purchased-especially of this dollar amount ( even far less for that matter).foxtrotraptor wrote:again sorry for the long rant on Page 5
As I've followed this thread I can clearly see your patience in the face of the issues that you have encountered.
As it stands you have done all anyone could expect as a consumer.
It is now in Imex Taigen's hands and as a vendor all they can do is make it right.

Oh I know Im not complaining about that. My Heng Long is running great with no issues at all, The idler and the hull issue was a easy fix, and yes the Ebay seller gave me a patial refund so yeah that one went well, Ill probably buy a Sherman and a T-34 from them. I also added a link on each side of the track now it runs even nicer. Currently working on some camo netting for my TigerSon of a gun-ner wrote:Mind you, you've got your Tiger going, and got 25 bucks back.
So, not all at a loss.

Man, you sure are jumping into the deep end, eh?
Seriously though, this is why I only deal with Imex by directly calling Erik when it's important. He'll even tell you that himself because he often gets busy. He's basically THE guy in the states for tank stuff, so everyone and their brother messages him constantly.
Heck, my last dealing was a couple months ago when I found a factory defect on one of my gearboxes I bought a couple years ago. The hole for the setscrew was miss-drilled, causing the gear to free-spin on the drive axle. Not only did he send me a replacement shaft, but he sent me 4. For free.
Sorry to hear about all your troubles, and I hope you get your stuff soon. Welcome to the hobby!
