I'd go the route of buying one of the tanks for sale on the forum so you can get the quality and great price and you put your choice of electronics in it. There are a few listed right now and they will save you a bundle of money.
As far as the metal king tiger tank that is very interesting to me but it also scares the hell out of me.
That thing would weigh a ton and with Matos track record for the fit and finish im curious to see how they have improved on the late Tiger I before I'd consider it.
If you want a tank that is painted and weathered to a good standard the ones I see come up on the forum maybe your best bet and you won't beat the prices.
Or you can contact Imex and get a nice Taigen Sherman fully loaded and ready to go for less than 500. I'm sure if you practiced enough you could produce a very nice paint job yourself!

Did I make you dizzy? I got information that Mato is releasing new tanks in 2017. In late 2016, they've already released a M10 tank destroyer, and it's already on their site though I've never heard anyone buying it yet. In the new tanks list, there are Tiger 1 Late Production featured torsion bar suspension and the King Tiger. Both tanks are all metal. I hope they'll improve their quality.
Regarding the JS-2 and M51, they are Tamiya which I saw someone selling them on taobao with price tags $750+ and $500+ respectively. However, those dealers never responded my inquiry, I don't why. I'm not planning to buy any of them yet. I understand the toughness of Taigen and the build quality of tanks listed here, however, too far from me.

I'll get you informed if I get further information on releasing date and I wish you'll get your King of love. By the way, I think the Clark TK-22 is a bit outdated and their dual speakers are too small too. Perhaps it's better you'd buy the empty tank and fit your own electrics and speakers. For the time being, I'm waiting for my parts to arrive to build my H/L Leopard 2A6.

If possible that's EXACTLY what I'd do! I HATE HATE HATE the controls of the Clark board! As for their dual mini speakers I actually kinda like them. My current King Tiger runs 2 sets off the IBU2 with amp board and it sounds pretty good. The engine speakers are mounted under the grills of the upper deck and the gun speakers are located under the commanders hatch.
I'd love any information you can get on it!

Mato (or at least the dealer I deal with) sells from a whole RTR tank down to a single screw. So just buy the goods that you like and need, other than that, you can fit your own stuff in.

My parts arrived. Look what I've got! A pair of metal tracks for Leopard 2A6, a pair of Leo2 track guides, two BB gun motors and some spare parts for the Pz3. I've got something to be busy with.
