Wow! What an impressive job! How did you do the bricks? I was planning to make some for a garage with a renault ft17 inside.

thank you for your kindly words.
To your question. If you need some evenly bricks for your model is my used method not useful.
I've taken a ceramic clay that will dry at the air. I’ve kneaded the clay and thereafter rolled out with a rolling pin. I've used no shape, rather cut only with a sharp knife. For this reason are the bricks only at two sides dimensionally accurate. The third dimension was sanded and receive in this way a acceptable look.
For evenly bricks you must use shapes. If you need no large quantities can you buy the bricks also at various dealers.

That's some amazing work. Most impressive. I keep expecting a whole bunch of tiny little Pennsylvania Dutchmen to rush out and start working on it, like they do at a barn-raising. It's going to look great in photos and videos with tanks. Now I'm wondering how to make hay and hay bales. Hmmmm

...you need a barn.

In my last report was he at some photos already to see – the barn socket. Today’s report goes about the shaping of my barn socket; used was a 25-mm thick Styrodur plate. To give their edges a fieldstone structure I’ve used my hot wax scraper machine.



All contours are free hand manufactured; if you come with the hot peak near the plate, so their skin will shrink. On this way you can adjust the surface according to your taste.



Represented is a double layer from natural stones;…



…at some points were also the surface a bit irregularly shaped.





Thereafter were the fugues with acrylic paint in dark grey painted.





After drying was the surface of the stones with Latex binder brushed and thereafter with fine East sea sand sprinkled.



After drying I’ve used my airbrush and on this way receive the surface a light silver paint.





The structure was inside the barn not complete executed…



…a complete colouring on both sides in this area is done.





So far for today…
