Vallejo Pigment fixer looks similar to this watered down glue. Don't know if it is the same. Maybe it also has some flat varnish in it. Although I found, that semi gloss made the track already appear sufficiently flat. I might try the much more dirt think for the jp. The final splashes for the Panther will come when it is more or less done. Might also include the tracks. But, running round in the garden, will naturally weather the wheels and tracks anyways. Even one run made the previous tank dusty like a powdered baby's bottom.

What lower HL unit do you use to put a JP upper on ? HL Tiger 1 ? If so i may convert 1 of my tiggers.

Yes mate, same here. We run in a lot of very dry dirt, and sand mix so its quite abrasive.
The pigment does not last forever, and the effect is lost quite quickly.
All my tanks are soon covered in a very fine dust when I get home from tank day, and its a good indicator of what sort of day Ive had if they all drop dust like old carpet !!

I just started the camo. Unfortunately the dark yellow didnt want to paint smooth enough fo rmy taste. Maybe I added a bit too much thinner. It was like spraying wet sand, on the other hand I could get the lines neet enough and them gradually filled in the areas. Did the front hull angled plates, left side front and top. I guess it will look great when the fading process begins
Interesting how Long this took. Including a nice cleaning of the airbrush I was busy Close to an hour.

Sorry, I misses d your question. Panther and Jpanther both get the Taigen metal Panther chassis with metal wheels and tracks. The only difference is, the JP got the low geared motor assembly because of the hull shape.

Panther is coming along. Had some Problems wiht clumping of Pigments in the yellow paint. So redid the edges with green and got some overspray. That is no Problem though, as I still Need to Highlight the yello aread before filter, pinwash, oilmodulation, grime, streaking, pigmenting....
The turret i started with vallejos masking fluid right away, it kills the brush, but it is really easy to rub off. even from crevices and small Details, by a mere stiff brush.

Base Camo done... Now Stencils and well,... forgot the Barrel... Some touchups are needed. Those will be done during weathering.

Thanks, I am looking Forward to this as well..
Just applied the markings wiht RCtanks stencils. Those went on nicely, although the odd drop of paint going elswhere ist always possible. So clean up is required here and there. The red is a mixture of Revell Ferrari red, Vallejo hull red and a bit of flat varnish. I like that.

Well and most, if not all "unclean" spraying will be covered by filter, streaking, Pigments, what have you.

Yeterday evening I added acoat of MIG Tan Filter for tri tone camo. It is golden Brown and enriches the colour a bit more. Thinned it down 50:50 in AK odourless thinner. This morning I gave it a gloss coat and started with the pin wash. A mixture of 85% Vallejo Olive wash, with the remainder of equal parts light Grey and Brown wash. This gives the bas colour of the tank shining through the dark yellow, but Overall being greyish grimy.
