Its clean because thats the only way I can function out in the open so to speak.
Where I do my work is in a corner of the family area that I can interact to a degree with the 'gremlins' that live in my house !!

The Desert Yellow is on.
Did two coats mixed at %50/50 to allow the dark base coat to show through.
Made it hard to cover, but now it has almost dried out, the yellow is deep and chalky. Nice.
There is a significant difference from XF59 to XF60 German Dark Yellow.

Im off to the boonies for a week tomorrow, so no build progress. I really want to get the cam on soon.

Kaiser old friend, I think Hermans next project is a fleet of 1/6 armour which will be crewed by his own army (Gremlins),
Most dads try to father a football team,
Herman is planning his own armoured brigade. :haha:
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Ohhhh nooo................you lot have seen the last Shrek movie right ??
I'm ACTUALLY trying to avoid having little monsters pouring out the windows like he had in his dreams.............. :'(
In fact, I've just narrowly avoided what I thought was the final selection in the Seven-aside team :/
The only damn thing I'm real good at, is the only thing I really shouldn't be 8O

Ahem..........a few hours of curing time & this desert yellow is absorbing & reflecting sunlight- and its dark here.
I really hope once the cam patterns on that the lot will even out.
Adding a wash will dampen it all down I know, but gee-whizz, talk about glow :problem:
The colour has depth, real matt finish, and plenty of shadow from the base coat, but its just glowing !!!

In a week when I get back, the tank fairies would have visited & relaxed my tormented mind I hope :lolno:

Oh, and as for snakes.................Two things New Zealanders dont cope with :

- All Blacks losing
- Snakes

If you care to consult Dr Google & look up "Snake Sheila" or "Snake Boss" depending on what country you are in.
The Scottish guy- Johnny Bagpipes............He worked for me for several years here in the drilling game, now I'm on again with him in a related business, all of which he hangs by an employment thread if he EVER decides to show me his snake :-<

For the record, he is a paranoid schizophrenic when it comes to insects, but the loony mucks around with bloody snakes ??
His Mrs, she cant do spiders..............BUT NO PROBLEM WITH SNAKES !!!???

I was reading the New Zealand Herald the other day like you do and it reported a real live sea snake had washed up on beach, the local constabulary warned people to leave it alone !!!
That comes under the heading of "Good Advise"

We have no instinctive anti-snake mentality like they do here.
We develop it real soon after getting here, where you can walk, where you can put your hands when out doors etc etc.
I am more than happy to send in a "native" to beat the ground and be certain that there are no surprises when I get there.
I was loading up a container last Friday of stuff that needed to go to a remote location for work, and a huge Eastern brown was exposed like a deer in headlights under a couch we lifted.
Trust me when I say that anyone who says "dont worry-they are more scared of you than you are of them" is on crack .
I did the triple jump without the two in between to get out of there.

Box Jellyfish, Great White Sharks, Salt Water Crocodiles, Funnel Web Spiders, Red Back Spiders, wall to wall venomous snakes, You wouldn't get me onto a plane to Australia let alone get off.
I remember only to well how quickly I learnt to bang my boots upside down on the floor before putting my feet in when I was in the wildlife park called Borneo. :lolno: :lolno:

Back home now from the woop-woops.
Getting my head in the game for the first of the camo pattern.
Will do some spray testing first so I can get the air pressure & needle settings right. I dont want the stripes to be to fat.
Got the sprockets, idlers and return rollers on(I will paint the rims on the late return rollers to resemble tyres) and plan to fit the roadwheels over the weekend.
The Africa yellow has calmed down a bit so looking forward to the camo & weathering asap.
Once all the paints on I will blend the jack block in by hand.
