Doesn't really matter right Tank Man.... after all ... I copied schumo... who's antenna I wouldn't have stared at if it wasn't for Painless and his Maxeen build ;)

Many, many great Shermans, variations and modifications. So how about showing members how they can create these fine modifications at home for themselves?

I have a SHERMAN metal edition now a yearh old,my nephew built the tank stock out of the box and I am searching for a path to customize this tank. I want to have something to display with my Torro KT and the STUKA /ME262 aircraft scene in the photos I posted taken at Mid South Hobbies gamer day event. I have also a P47 Thunderbolt ground attack aircraft to accompany the Sherman Variant.

Kinda like the best ground assault forces battle scene idea I'm wanting to create? So idea's? Maybe some link's to post? I am a complete Sherman Newbie, knowing very little about these tanks. Thanks Saxondog

Which Sherman would have been the most capable to challenge a KT and what specific mods would apply guys?

Hey Saxon....glad you are here lol.... since you might have a little more pull with the admin staff :D ....The intent of both the Tiger Thread and this Sherman Thread was to have them made into CATEGORIES...that way the builds could go along with the finished product ;)
I used the incorrect terminology when requesting that move to Mat....so the best he recommended was to make two "show off" threads
Categories would provide better exposure for both models...as to brand..difficulty of build...paint...etc...especially since the Tiger and the Sherman share almost the same popularity :D

Saxon,
St. Sgt. Pool would have made a run at a King Tiger in his 'In The Mood'. I believe that the current "Wardaddy" from 'Fury' must be modeled after Sgt. Pool since his crew affectionately called him Wardaddy as well. viewtopic.php?f=23&t=12575 Aside from that, you will need a madman in a Firefly! Looking forward to your Sherman build,
regards,
Painless

By the way Saxon... I vote you do a Firefly ...not enough of them made...but were probably the biggest threat against a Tiger :D
The hardest part being the variant you want to build...fynsdad mentioned two to me...one with an extended hull and one without ;)

This I like, this Sherman fits my view that camo is every bit as important to survival as the machine. And hey its very cool, very.

Well I'm inspired guys, and will discuss the points with Administration on board suggestions. Man I really like this Sherman! Its me all over that is. Only thing I lack is the skill to build it! :haha: :haha:

OH BOY..............Wait till you do the research  there is so much photo and written history on the tank... If you really got down and dirty...the final product could take ten years to build :haha:
