PainlessWolf wrote:Alpha, *grinz* I like my scribing tool set. I used it to get those plastic grills off of Maxine's rear deck and still leave the posts to screw into there. There are plenty of times that I do fire up the Dremel or electric Drill as well. ;o) Nothing Post wise today so I was about to start making the little exterior Fire Extinguisher handle then remembered, "Hey, I think I bought some parts for this tank" Sure enough, that piece and most of the rest of the deck detail that I was about to move from the old tank to the new were on the Tamiya sprues. I contented myself with removing some unneeded HL deck detail and adding the four Mato periscope guards for the front hatches and surrounds by the Blower housing. Plenty of time to have fun this weekend with the rest. Pics:
When I did model cars back in the day... the scribe was to tool for separating doors and deck lids...don't have the patience anymore :haha: Thus the saw :haha: have four different sizes..one that slides into the no.1 handle...works pretty well and fast ....but getting older by the second... so soon everything will be dremel :haha:

It was a day out and about so little got done. I did manage to find at Hobby Lobby, some scale jute rope for stowage and a pack of 2mm 'Crimp' beads which will be perfect for the mantlet cover hardware I am building. In addition, it was a very good day for the Post. Woz's beautiful printed caps and hinges came along with a new power switch I had ordered from IMEX\Taigen last week. Loot Pics:

Alpha, thanks! Tonight, I had time to look up the external handle for the Extinguisher. Tamiya provided the housing on the sprue but no handle. I filed one down out of a sprue 'T' junction and it worked out pretty good. I checked then removed the extra armor shield on the driver's side that HL had molded on. It is not needed. Then, I created a couple of mounts from tubing for the headlight plugs and capped them with plugs cut from rod stock. Not sure if I will add the little chains, getting a little fragile at that point for a runner. I added the Siren under the HL guard and had to sand down the base to get it to fit under. For anyone following along who has not had experience mixing and matching parts from Tamiya or Schumo with HL or Taigen or Mato, measure twice before mounting. Three times maybe. ;o) I finished out the evening by removing the molded on handles for the stowage bins. Tamiya has some nice handles to add on later. Pics:
