Thanks Mr Caster................its been much harder than I thought to get hold of suitable American figures to test out Alphas theory.!!! But I really do want to see how it will look.
And to be honest, Im shit-scared of ripping it apart to change the gear sets !!

Of all the strangest things...............have the house for sale. Have had open home. Have Jagd sitting on his display base on the glass table in the media room.
Agent calls for update......................"is that tank model in your media room for sale ?"
Wife nearly pisses herself laughing, I'm struggling for words = wife really makes a bolt for toilet , I say after long pause " i will chuck it in with the house if its a deal breaker"................. agent says they are keen on house but oldest kid is real keen on tank, will you sell it?

I say, "I cant, it needs some work"
He says "its not going to drive the kid to work mate"

I politely decline, wife has partially recovered her decorum.
Agent then updates & goes on his way.....................

Well bugger me.......................wants my Jagd does he ?
How does &%&$$^&% the $%@#@# - off sound ??!!!!!
Buy the house I think ! and I will bung in the new unfitted gearboxes..............................

Well, after hold ups with parts(and to a degree-motivation) on my Jagdtiger conversion, Ive decided to add schurzen and steel gearboxes to my first build project.
This Jagdpanther suffers a bit from the squarking plastic gears, and I really like skirts on German tanks where possible.
So, at the risk of having a so called 'submarine' thread, I will get on with it.

I may also add metal wheels & suspension while Im at it :/ :shifty:

Is any tank project ACTUALLY ever really done ?? ;)

Got the new plates cut, punched, and primed.
Made a few new mounts out of brass, to be trimmed to length once test fitted.
Biggest challenge is going to be matching the paint with the upper.

I dug out the set of metal roadwheels I got for the Zu Fuss build but never used. Also found the new black steel gear boxes I got for it way back when..................

Might as well go the whole hog & fit the lot. ;)

Ohhhhh, a sheep-joke eh !!

Got the new Mato wheels primed & painted in Dunkelgelb, and my "Emirates Schurzen" plates !!
They turned out pretty good.
Will be a bit of a pain matching them to the hull, but I may even do a few of them in a different pattern as if they were recovered from another vehicle.
