We'll folks you've had a preview, but I've made some more progress so here goes; finished the tools, added tow ropes, on this build I've secured all the clasps to make things more durable. The tow ropes where interesting. On the upside the treatment of the cable looked excellent, the downside is they don't fit together properly without some rework. In addition the cables weren't continuously stranded throughout so when they where bent strands splintered out. IMO the shumo ones were better; sadly now they've been discontinued. I have also added tracks to get her running for Sundays MAD meet. Now I'm aware the hatches should be painted ivory; this will be amended.

Here's some shots:

Still masses to do, I'm also after some closed pin metal tracks

I've been busy trying to get norbert finished over the weekend. Thanks to some very helpful forum members I found a colour of mud I was happy with and cracked on. I used a mix of acrylic resin, plaster, tamiya xf-52 flat earth and Vallejo desert yellow(no 125) with a smattering of European earth pigment. I've also finished off the soot marks on the exhausts, painted and weathered the tracks and finally painted the hatches elefanbein. I mixed this up by eye using xf-60 dark yellow, xf-2 white and a tiny bit of xf-65 field grey to take some of the yellow hew out. I've also painted the smaller cable on the side. Main things left now are to finish the jack, microsol over the decals, matt varnish the lot and finally some crew!

Tom a question, did you spray all the road wheels the yellow colour? Front & back etc? Would that have been done like that from the factory or just the fronts leaving the backs red primer? I'm about to paint mine and was wondering how they would have gone about it. Cheers and amazing tank! Mark
