Thanks for all your kind comments guys, there were a lot of first's for me on this tank and im well happy with the results, especially the paint which i nearly give up on a couple of times so now i just need to start running it about and wearing them new metal tracks in
Here are a few pics i got today with some foliage back on, i especially like the antenna
Now that this build is just about finished, i have been inspired by how well the Anti Aircraft Armour turned out, that my Panther G is now going to get the same treatment the rear deck will be much the same as the Jagd but the Panther will be getting some extra armour plate on the top of the turret, like in this pic
Im going to keep the same colour and everything, just add the armour
Right, im going to add the mods i do on the Panther G here, as it's not that different from the Jagd. I love my Panther as it is, but after seeing how the Anti Aircraft Armour turned out on the Jagd, i've got to add it to the Panther, so luckily the mass production of brass armour i made can be put to good use although i had to go and buy more brass for the turret armour on this one Nothing is fixed down properly yet, and i have still got to add brass spare track holders on the side, some armour for the front grills some grills, and im in the middle of having a working travel lock for the gun on the front, that will do for now
Had a few photo etch parts left over, so today me and fynsdad sat and made a chain for the gun travel lock What a nightmare, there was almost 50 seperate pieces to assemble and solder for a piece of chain about a inch long i've now got a headache and blurred vision and i think Frank is still high on soldering fumes
Cheers Rik, i had to hold myself back from the spraying today and decided instead to add some more detail, and as fynsdad is also working on a Panther G, we seem to have a nice little production line running at the mo
So today we got the spare track holders made up, and fitted some spare metal track i had lying around, fitted some rear bin lids with hinges, latch and padlock (Frank special), fitted a spare wheel to the turret and got the gun travel lock fitted and operational i did start priming but run out of primer so that was that but all in all a good day
