Very cool.  I see that you're skipping the glued wheels for screws.  What size screws did you use and are you using nuts on the outer wheel?  I assume they're visible; so, do they match the molded ones?

I need to get a few of those.  I broke one my road wheels a while back and got a new pair.  I could glue them back together, but I'd rather try to bolt them together like you did.  But, this will be my first time trying to order micro-hardware.  What do I measure (nut size, etc) and what should I be looking for when I order the screws and the nuts?

These look too small to be something that I'll find in the local hardware store. ???

Looks like 10BAs aren't available in the states.  Closest thing I can find is 0-80 or 1-72 (http://www.micromark.com/hardware.html).  I'm thinking a 1/2" long hex head should work.  That roughly what you used?

Here's a conversion chart I found for the US measurments.

  Reference Chart
Size                     00-90      0-80 1-72       2-56
Shank Diameter      .046" .059"    .072"       .085"
Clearance Drill No.      55    52           48         43
Screw Diameter      .047" .060" .073"       .086"

Another site for conversions back and forth...

Lucky you...I can't even find an LHS in my town.  We had a teeny one, but I went there a couple of weeks ago to get some CA glue and the store was gone.  :-\  Thought for a moment I was lost.  >:(

Another question:  What drill bit number worked?
