Ok would you happen to be able to provide a link for the gearbox? thank you i just need to get a rough pricing.
Here’s the link to the one I bought

As far as MFUs I put ElMod in all of mine. Beier is also popular here. Clark is also a standard, but you have to use a particular Sony remote to program it? OpenPanzer is good, but setting it up/programming it can be a little convoluted, but it also offers a lot of flexibility. SGS is another manufacturer that makes MFUs and other peripherals, they are good but expensive. They’re all kind of expensive though, with the exception of Clark I think, depending on which one you get. IBU is no longer produced.
I would love to see a picture of the silver racing stripes! You should definitely put some 550 motors and a 3s LiPo in that model if they are really racing stripes. Like having a giant engine in an old beater.

Hi mr Bix
this is how my Taigen tank arrived in 2016 apart from the tow rope
check the spare tracks and some of the tools
just wondering if they are trying a new idea for weathering wear etc ?
unless the lads tried to weather it

I have 9 Torro/Taigen tanks. None of them had anything looking like that upon delivery to me. Very odd. Wonder if the tank was returned from a previous buyer. that is some seriously odd weathering

And that there is where my head has gone to. A return.
Seems mind boggling that no info is available on the web that refers to any barrel smoke other than an IR version.
For this kind of cost and the reputation of the manufacturer and the vendor, I would expect, nay demand, transparency.

If that is the case they branded it as Brand New and had a page specifically for returns which you could buy at a discount which could possibly mean they messed up my order and gave me a return and not a brand new tank?

I remember seeing it listed here but yes there isn't much to any information available on the web about it. I have looked in the past.
https://www.torro-shop.de/1-16-RC-Kingt ... t-BB-Smoke
I've deduced that Torro De does some in house work like this as you can't find the same configured options available elsewhere. Possibly similar to how Imex Taigen developed their BB barrel recoil with servo and some dark magic workings to get that servo to function.
Maybe contact Torro De and ask? I've had communications with them in the past but they are super slow responding to their emails.
