I have carried on with the mission now to the point of no return!
The locating slots and all plastic material apart from the aerial sockets is gone.
This arvo has been like playing a game of brass pick up sticks
Made a centre rib & drilled it out to take left over rod of 1.4mm diameter.
Next trick is to get it into place.
Also made a very rudimentary floor pan out of brass sheet that I then drilled loads of holes into & folded to suit the angles of the frame.
It’s ugggggly but for what it needs to do, she’s good enough

I'm glad that at least someone found my advice helpful...
In the meantime, I patched up the holes in the hood...

I’m retaining the screws to secure the hull sections.
Much more rigider’er !
Plus if I need to get in for maintenance, 4 screw’s aren’t difficult to remove .


The bustle rack is taking form now.

But alas, not having a printer or God-like skills like Mr Mcq11 or BarryC , this’ll have to do

Still a bit to do . The base tray is not yet secured, and I still need to run the top edge and tie rail.
Plan to use old Trumpeter P.E. Out of a T34 set using the track ice cleat bands to represent the straps which hold the tarp down.
How the tarp might look is an entirely new project!!
Also need to work out stowage that will fill & detail this really unnecessary appendage!
But it’s closer than it was by not bothering eh !!

Does this look like tarpaulin?
I don't know the texture of your tarpaulin, ours is like this.... It's easy to buy fabric in a store, this lining material is used in sewing raincoats or coats...
