Well... as I do not have already enough projects to be build/finished, and also a lot of finished models too, I was soooo exited by this topic that I decided to buy my first non German Tank ever!
So a few minutes ago, I bought that I Love Kit with the upgrade parts.
This is my first American tank, among my 30 or so German Armour.
I have always been a huge fan of that Sherman in the movie Fury with its wide tracks full of mud and so.
Will take a while before I will start this project, needs alot of research for me because I am not familiar with non German stuff.
When I start with this kit, I would love to make a Fury out of it.
Making it RC would be a great challenge for me either, but it is very tempting I must admit.
As always, when somebody shows his skills in a topic, it looks soooo easy and simple, so I might have alot of questions to you Monsieur Tox....as time comes.....
CU,
Rob.

Hey Rob,
I'm glad you found this thread inspiring. You are falling into the Sherman rabbit hole!

The I Love Kit M4A3E8 is a very good kit and it's not that hard to convert to RC.
I'll be very happy to help answering all the questions you may have about this project!

Today my Sherman kit came in.
Allied armour is new to me, do not know sh*t about them, no clue what is what.
Looked at a couple of vids on YT in which a guy built exactly this kit.
Most time consuming will be those tracks, the guy in de vids made himself a tool to make it a bit easier to built them.
Most of the sprues contain track stuff.
I also have that Trumpeter kit of the Panzer IV on the shelf, the one with the Toma Schürzen.
That kit looks quite a bit more difficult/challenging than this Sherman kit.
I must admit, that Pnzr IV has a complete interrior.
First of all I must finish my StuG project, than maybe I can start with my Jagdpanzer IV…..or my WPL Käfer….or my…..
We‘ll see.

Looks like a nice kit. You are in luck, there is a whole internet full of Sherman info and one of the good sources is the Sherman Minutia page:
