Cables Look great! That is one reason I like using real cables or cord to replace plastic molded cables. Odd bends kinks and what nots are easily added. Seems like every combat picture that shows a used cable, almost never shows it flat and in original stored position.

Of course, today I started on the second cable with disastrous results. How come one side gets made easily, and the second one goes to pot?

It is just a thing. If I've enough materials I'll make more than needed and choose the best ones. Can you save/fix the second cable?

What might you need? I'll look through my spares and leftovers from the last project, if I have it, I'll send it, just say the word Mr. Rat.

Agreed that 'it's just a thing' and of course good old Murphy's Law. I also try to do the same with mock ups and spares but sometimes it just doesn't work out as planned and I'm left there scratching my head, cursing and wondering...

Ecam. Nothing a bit of scratch building won’t solve.

I was hoping to get the second cable completed today, as I will be away for the next two weeks, getting our old 1:1 house ready for sale. Then I can finish this and get back to modern tanks.

The corallery is when trying to remove something held on by 6 bolts, the first comes off easily; the remaining 5 shear off.

Cable looks great! The second should be a cinch

These two. One tin snail 1982. And one “modern” BX 1993.

Anyway. This is not about my fondness for rusty Citroens.
40 minutes of scratch building, gave me a second tow cable and cleaning rod holders..
