Turret is assembled back to its basic form. Tested that the functions work. Still a bit on to get the texture over the turret shell and then get all the accessories fitted.
The Lion has smoke candles in different places to the run-o-the-mill T72's so those will need a lot more attention.
Periscopes are in, using a new writable CD for the reflective looking glass.
I am looking to slice the skirts off it to be replaced with more rubbery stuff that I have not found yet, so for now they stay.
The ERA version of these models means theres a lot of holes that are just in crappy spots, so its not really ideal to leave the molded skirts on with any decency.
If this was a Syrian version, well hey!................thats an easy out

Yep, I get ya, subtle differences, like the 'B'in subtle, you barely know they are there.
The smoke candles are a very visual difference though. And in this case the IR dazzler.
Oh, and the bizarre array of ersatz armour the Syrians chuck on.
For this build the rubber-ish skirts are the only frustrating challenge I face right this moment.

Tell ya what, it would be worth getting one as I dont think they are going to be available moving forward.

The rubber skirts are an interesting issue. I've seen them in a number of scales. Not 1/16th, of course. Have a perfect color to paint them with, too.

What about an old lorry inner tube? I used a car inner tube for the front rubber parts on my Challenger.
