Thanks for looking in fellas, nice to know your out there

The crane is more about stubborn mess than anything else, I just can’t bring myself to part with the equivalent cost of a big bottle of Jack Daniels to buy one !
This version will be near enough

While far from perfect the crane is near enough.
I probably should have assembled it in a different order to make painting easier but cest Le vie !

Just have to make the rocket hoop.

Capped the pole and made the hoop.
Also distressed the guards, just to give the big box some features!!
The big fella's looking a lot more Sturm'y now.
Still a bit to do before paint so on we go.......................

When I think of how simple are the winch and fairlead I made for my FAMO, I am all the more impressed by your working crane, Bix.

Cheers lads, appreciate you keeping track & letting me know the stuff I’m knocking up is ok ;)

Tools are the order of the day. Painting handles and heads.
The idea is to secure them once the final paint is done, add the clamps, and blend the paint before sealing and weathering.

Fantastic brass work on that crane!
The damaged fender add life to this impressive build.
